Having a perfect smile is something that we all crave for. I had a special inclination towards perfect smile with pearly white teeth. A beautiful smile adds to your beauty, irrespective of the outfit or the make up that you are wearing. A beautiful smile instantly attracts everyone towards you and even in the middle of a war if you simply smile the matter will get shut in your favor. Thus the benefits of a beautiful smile can never be undermined. However, not all are blessed with a beautiful smile. Some are born with certain defects in their smile or lets say that as per the beauty standards their smile lacks on some aspects of beauty. The science and technology has advanced and one can get a beautiful smile even if they are not born with it. A cosmetic dentist is that person who cans help you achieve the most beautiful smile and boost your confidence. Thus with all my passion to achieve a picture perfect smile I was set to opt for cosmetic dentistry.

What is cosmetic surgery?
Cosmetic dentistry is a professional oral care that focuses on improving the appearance of your mouth, teeth, and smile. Cosmetic dentistry rectifies your smile and smile enhancement can have dramatic results on your smile and overall appearance. It is not about the smile or looks but a small correction procedure but it sets you free and makes you more confident and happy about yourself. Haters will comment that such a treatment is not required but then the joy of having a perfect smile is phenomenal and one can opt for the surgery. Cosmetic surgery is elective rather than essential but in some cases it provides restorative benefits.

As much I probed in the topic of d\cosmetic dentistry all I could understand and gather was that some procedures are fairly simple whereas some are complex and require specialized care.

Inlays and onlays- The procedure is used for mild to moderate decay of teeth or in stances where tooth structure is not enough to support a filling. If there is no damage to tooth cusps the inlay is placed on the tooth surface. If the cusp is greatly damaged the onlay is used to cover the tooth’s entire surface.

Composite bonding- the treatment is used to repair decayed, damaged, or discolored teeth using materials that remember the color of tooth enamel. The dentist drills out the tooth decay and applies he composite on the tooth’s surface and then sculpts in the right shape before curing it with a high-intensity light.

Dental veneers– manufactured from medical grade ceramic, dental veneers are made individually for each patient to make it appear like natural teeth. The procedure is my favorite technique and the end result is unexceptionally beautiful.

Teeth whitening- the most basic procedure where teeth whitening or teeth bleaching is performed at the dentists office. Whitening is done after tartar, debris, and plaque is removed from the teeth.

The above procedures were the basic techniques that not only restore your teeth but also restore your selfesteem.
